The growth of our group, while truely impressive, is a necessary part of a healthy future. When I began a sales career for Uniroyal in 1974, the sales manager I was responsible to imparted some incredible advice: new business, new business, NEW BUSINESS!
I’ve never forgotten. Customers (and for this discussion, group members) will come and go for reasons totally beyond one’s control: they find better suppliers, they go out of business, and some die. Many other reasons too numerous to list. The key is getting more than you lose.
I suggest having countless new members is in all of our best interests, as long as they are quality people, quality members, for which it is our duty to determine. Re-configuring our meeting table is a small price to pay.
At the last meeting, we waited until the very end to do referrals and testimonials and pretty much ran out of time. Since this is a VERY important part of our meetings, I suggest moving it up on the schedule for the meetings.
